Reactive Black 5 is a benchmark and one of the most widely used reactive dyes in the textile industry. As a bifunctional vinyl sulfone (VS) dye, it offers an extremely high fixation rate, leading to deep, saturated black shades with excellent efficiency. It produces a neutral to slightly reddish-black shade on all cellulosic fibres. Its robustness, versatility, and cost-effectiveness make it an indispensable workhorse for achieving deep, durable blacks.
